AIDS 2012 offers free childcare service, for children in between the ages of 2 and 10 years. The childcare room is located within the conference venue. There are availabilities for each morning and afternoon of the conference, which are to be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. While these spots are usually sufficient with the demands of the AIDS conference, conference organizers will do their best to find alternative solutions should the number of requests exceed the availability.

Child Care Terms & Conditions
Childcare by KiddieCorp is a free service provided by the International AIDS Conference.
KiddieCorp is in its twenty-sixth year of providing high quality children’s programs and youth services to conventions, trade shows and special events. We take watching your children very seriously. KiddieCorp has enjoyed a long-time partnership with the American Academy of Pediatrics, which has helped to establish KiddieCorp as a North American premier provider of event children’s program services.
The AIDS Child Care is provided by English-speaking child care providers.
Registration for child care is mandatory and must be done no later than 12 July 2012

Childcare registration is not final until after confirmation email has been received stating whether the registration was accepted or denied. Accommodations for your child(ren) will be only be guaranteed once when you receive a written positive confirmation
. Confirmations will be sent via email within 72 hour of receipt of registration. Once you receive a positive confirmation, you must register your child for the conference as an “Accompanying Child”. Children without an Accompanying Child badge will not be given access to the conference area, and therefore will not have access to the child care room.
Child Care will be open each day of the conference from 08:00 until 18:30 from Sunday, 22 July, to Friday, 27 July.
The child care service will offer a variety of activities for children, including games, drawings, and handicrafts. The room is child-friendly, equipped with toys, venue furniture, and toilet facilities just down the hall.
Child Care will consist of include exciting themes, arts & crafts, group games, music & movement, board games, story time, dramatic play, etc. KiddieCorp will provide activities appropriate for each age group, using safe, sturdy equipment that parents can feel comfortable with.
Food and Meals
Food and Snacks will not be provided to children. Meals have to be organized by parents. Parents can leave lunch boxes, snacks and drinks for their children.
The United States does not mandate a child be covered by specific health insurance.
In the event of an emergency or health concern, KiddieCorp has permission to administer first aid, contact the child’s pediatrician, or obtain emergency medical treatment for the child. The child’s parents agree to pay all expenses incurred due to an emergency involving their child.
As soon as a child is handed over to a provider from KiddieCorp, the child is covered by KiddieCorp’s liability insurance policy.
The insurance does not cover damage to personal belongings by the child’s own carelessness or negligence (for example, a child stumbles and shatters his or another child’s spectacles, or a child damages her own or another child’s clothes), loss of personal belongings, and theft of valuable belongings.
- Be prepared to show photo identification when picking your child from the childcare program.
- All clothes and toys brought to the child care room must be labeled with the child’s name.
- It is the parent’s responsibility to provide providers with all important information (including allergies, health conditions, as well as clear details on how to contact the parent during the day, etc.) when handing over a child to a provider’s care.
- Childcare will not administer any prescription medicine to the children. Parents must return to child care facility to dispense any medicine to their child(ren).
- Sick children will not be permitted in the child care facility.
- Childcare for disabled children is possible if organized in advance.
- No valuable items can be left with the child in child care facility.
